My path to jewelry wasn’t conventional. I didn’t attend a traditional art school. Instead, I found myself learning alongside a local jeweler, where curiosity slowly evolved into conviction. It was there that I realized jewelry wasn’t simply something I admired it was the medium through which I wanted to create.
I founded XANO in the basement of my home while living in Mexicali. What began as a personal creative practice soon became a way of exploring form, material, and self-expression. As I immersed myself in the creative world around me, I became fascinated by the idea that the objects we choose to wear can quietly communicate who we are. I began creating sculptural pieces for friends and family, allowing intuition, experimentation, and craftsmanship to shape my design language.
As my practice evolved, I pursued formal training to deepen both my technical skills and creative perspective. Today, every XANO piece is guided by that same balance of intuition and precision created with intention and crafted to become part of the person who wears it

Sometimes an idea begins with a clear vision that takes shape through a sketch. More often, however, I let the process unfold naturally. I allow movement, form, and curiosity to shape each piece as it evolves. That dialogue between intuition and craftsmanship is the part of the process I enjoy most.
XANO began as a one-woman studio. For the first few years, I designed and handcrafted every piece myself. As the brand grew, I welcomed a second pair of hands, but we remain a small studio where every piece is made, finished, packed, and shipped with intention.I love that we continue to create everything in-house. It allows us to stay close to every step of the process and gives creativity the freedom to evolve naturally.
